Concluding their FSExpoFriday presentation, SoFly has surprised released Budapest Airport (LHBP) for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024.
Created with passion and care, SoFly has recreated the large Central European international airport in great detail. Designed specifically for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, the airport scenery recreates the atmosphere and operational feel of Budapest with an up-to-date airport layout, highly detailed modelling, immersive environmental audio, and modern lighting technology.
Serving as a major Central European gateway, Budapest Airport connects millions of passengers each year with destinations across Europe, the Middle East, and Asia, whilst also supporting a growing cargo and logistics operation within the region. The airport offers a diverse mix of airline traffic, ranging from low-cost and regional European services to long-haul operations from Gulf and Asian carriers.
The scenery features detailed terminal interiors based on real-world airport references, custom jetways, animated passengers and vehicles, alongside extensive use of 4K PBR texturing throughout the airport environment.
“Budapest is one of Europe’s most interesting and diverse airports to operate from,” said SoFly. “From busy European short-haul traffic through to international cargo and long-haul services, the airport delivers a fantastic mix of operations and atmosphere. Our goal has been to capture that unique feeling whilst taking advantage of the latest technology available in Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024.”
