AeroTone redefines the sound environment inside Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 and 2024. Every aircraft in your hangar (past, present and future) benefits from a richer, more convincing audio landscape that brings you closer to real-world aviation.
AeroTone adds depth and detail to engines, wind layers, avionics, airframe movement, environmental effects, and more, creating a multi-layered acoustic experience throughout every phase of flight.
You’ll also never feel alone in the sky. AeroTone includes over 100 hours of pre-recorded ATC chatter that adapts to your current location. Regional audio spans the UK, US, Europe, Asia, and more. Included is also oceanic radio ATC, which provides long-haul immersion across transatlantic and transpacific flights.
AeroTone now supports automatic ATC playback when tuned to 122.800. Chatter plays only while you’re on the UNICOM frequency, and stops instantly when you switch frequencies, allowing you to communicate normally with live or offline ATC. You can also control the chatter volume directly using your VHF radio knob, giving you seamless in-cockpit integration with your favourite aircraft.
Taxi, takeoff, climb, cruise, descent, approach, and landing each trigger their own contextual ATC facilities, creating a living airspace around you. Ground operations, airborne traffic, and oceanic communications are all handled separately, providing believable radio activity throughout your entire journey.
The custom in-sim control panel allows you to adjust volume levels, toggle individual sound elements, fine-tune ATC ambience, or completely disable entire sound categories with a single click. Official presets ensure accurate audio out of the box for many aircraft, while custom profile support allows you to tailor the sound of any aircraft to your preferences.
