SoFly is excited to announce that we have a planned date for our aircraft sound enhancement product for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020/2024. Furthermore, we’re pleased to confirm the final name of the product will be AeroTone.
After months of hardwork and dedication, AeroTone will be available for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 and Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 this December.
AeroTone redefines the sound environment inside Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 and 2024. Every aircraft in your hangar (past, present and future) benefits from a richer, more convincing audio landscape that brings you closer to real-world aviation.
“When we announced the product in June 2025, we saw a positive and excited response online. We had plenty of feedback that we were really keen to incorporate into the immersive product,” Calum Martin, CEO of SoFly, said. “We were a bit too keen with saying it would come in the Summer, but the extra time has allowed us to create a polished and truly refined experience from day one.”
AeroTone features four distinct features that combine to create a fun and immersive experience for all simmers.
The Panel
Our custom-designed panel is beautiful. It’s easy to use, comes with plenty of options for all users to adjust, and is easy to save your settings if you want to make any edits. All of this is taken care of directly within the simulator; no need for external tools.
The Sounds
We have collaborated with Echo19 in order to create a high-quality soundscape. Recordings have been mixed and engineered for authenticity and realism. Dynamic logic means that ground roll, vibration, airframe stress, avionics and more all react naturally during flight.
Aircraft Profiles
AeroTone is compatible with every aircraft in your hangar automatically. However, we have various ways you can customise the experience on a per-aircraft basis. Download and install community profiles, edit and create your own, or simply use the official profiles included. The goal is to make AeroTone easy for anyone to get started, but advanced enough to have a unique experience.
Regional and Flight-Aware ATC
Make your skies alive with regional and flight-aware ATC. Turn on our built-in ATC settings to hear over 100 hours of pre-recorded ATC chatter. Your position in the world will automatically give you regionalised accents and call signs. We will also only play ATC that relates to your phase of flight for even more authenticity.

Fully compatible with Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 and 2024, AeroTone offers a deeper, more dynamic, and more immersive sound experience across your entire fleet. AeroTone has full game controller support and will be coming to Xbox and PS5 via the in-sim Marketplace very soon.
